Because hirsute trannies tend to feel at least ten times as gross as we look. :P

I never knew what hirstute meant! :-(

Hirsutism (from Latin hirsutus = shaggy, hairy) is the excessive hairiness[1] on female humans in those parts of the body where terminal hair does not normally occur or is minimal - for example, a beard or chest hair. It refers to a male pattern of body hair (androgenic hair) and it is therefore primarily of cosmetic and psychological concern. Hirsutism is a symptom rather than a disease and may be a sign of a more serious medical condition, especially if it develops well after puberty.

seriously, people that don't have curly hair don't understand. These are razor bumps already! The hairs poke into the skin. They get inflamed and u get red spots. Its an issue for people with curlyhair, no matter what color you think you are, if you have red spots they're razor bumps and they happen anyway even if u don't shave cause the hairs grow in curly.
They are annoying and painful and look bad on white skin. I hate them, u can try tanning to hide the red spots. And never shave against the grain. I hate my razor bumps !

i don't see what's so darn complex about shaving.
for crying out loud, it's hair removal, not the Tax Code.

wet it.
lather it.
scrape it.
rinse it.

i always shave against the grain. i only scrape an area once, the resultant cut angle is far more blunt, causing less mechanical irritation when the hair retracts beneath the inflamed skin. i use a very sharp blade, a light touch, a medium stroke speed, and a gentle body wash for lather. shaving creams and gels are garbage. remember - all the shaving creams and gels are made by the same people who sell the razors. if they could convince you to buy a special shaving water, they would tell you their water is far superior to the coarse gruel the municipality pipes in to your tub.

don't use water so hot it hurts or turns red. that means DON'T soak in a hot bath. that swells the skin, preventing a close shave.
don't over-lather. detergent strips oil from the skin and irritates it.
don't put moisturizer on freshly-shaven skin.

pretend that the skin you just shaved is a wound. leave it alone, let it air dry, don't slather marketing sludge on it.

if you can't get using a razor together, buy a rotary epilator like the Braun Silk-Epil. It's the cat's meow.
hurts like a m<bleeeeeeeeeeep>

get going.
if awesomeness were sauce i'd bleed buerre blanc.

I don't think that shaving is such a big deal for me, though I have to admit, it's something I have to do all the time to remain smooth...

I'm going to get a lot of laser done all over my body.

Does anyone here have experience about having genital electrolysis/laser? Is it possible to bypass all of that and just have laser, or since it's only permanent hair reduction, will surgeons not accept it if you're getting SRS?

Thanks

some surgeons do not require any hair removal prior to srs - instead, they remove it from the underside of the skin during the procedure. i had my surgery with dr brassard in canada, and that was one of the reasons i chose him, as he specifically states not to have any hair removal in that area.

I remember rushing shaving my legs and hadn't a lot of time. I shaved in the bath and cut myself in a few places. I had blood running down my legs trying to get it to stop, so I could get my tights on. That night was a total nightmare, and I was late, also the taxi couldn't find the house. What a nightmare, so give yourself time when shaving.

Shaving causes hair to grow back quicker and blacker.

Under the arms I shave dry, no problems there. Around my nipples I use tweezers. I don't have much hair anyway, that is good because I really hate hair on my body.

Private area shave dry with a razor, and i shave my legs dry with a razor. Never been in a bath or used water since shredding my legs. Any razor will do as long as it's got a newish blade.

When I was in the UK I used hair removal cream which I found to be excellent, and would use it here if I could find it. I just put it all over my body avoiding the areas I don't want it. It doesn't damage me at all.

I have never tried waxing, but I would and I think that would be good. I have never tried one of those eliptors (or however it's spelled) again I would try that.

Everybody skin hair type and how heavy the growth is different. I am just very lucky but I think I have got a lot more estrogen than testostone anyway. I certainly think I have high levels of estogen compared to other people.

Hi Peta:

There are some items here that need to be addressed.

Shaving does not cause hair to grow back thicker and blacker. You are wrong on both counts.

Tweezing is a bad idea since it can lead to ingrowns which may become infected.

Dry shaving is not a good idea and won't give you a good shave. You probably shave off some skin and dull
the razor quicker too. But it won't give you as smooth a shave as the recommended methods.

As far as guessing what your estrogen and testosterone levels goes, it might be possible for your T
level to be lower than average, but I'd be pretty surprised if your E levels were higher than normal.
The only way to truly now is to measure them. Why would you think they were any different than that
of anyone else who was not on HRT?
