bit red, white and blue :-(

Postby almost2innocent » Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:04 am

My caterer cancelled last minute, and I haven't a clue what I'll do for my 4th of July party. I'm English, but I'm doing it in honour of my dear departed friend who killed himself a month ago.

I've not got many friends, and i haven't got a lot of money - so it's really really getting me down. I don't even have an american flag :(

Hihi!

You can google the flag and download and print a bunch of them on paper and post them around the party space.

Can you get ground beef where you are? If so, then you are in business of cookin' U.S.A.! Hamburgers cooked on a charcoal grill with slices of tomato, lettuce, ketchup and mustard, sliced pickles and onion on some sort of bread or bun and you are set! Brew some black tea, sweeten it lightly with sugar, and pour it over ice with wedges of lemon in a tall glass.

If you can get potatoes and mayonnaise, you can make potato salad - tons of recipes on the web.

And if you want dessert, an apple pie would be right at home for any 4th celebration.

Of course, if you were willing to fly myself and my wife to Bangkok, I will cook it all up for you nice! :)

What Sabene said. Add hot dogs too though. Americans don't have catered 4th of July parties. Fire up the grill, barbecue some hot dogs and hamburgers, get some crisps, potato salad or pasta salad...anything that's generally bad for you. ;)

For drinks get some beer, Coke, and bottled water.

Add friends and family and I've basically just described every 4th of July party I've ever been to. Well...except for the fireworks, but that's your call.

Well it wasn't the worst 4th of July party, but it wasn't as good as next years is going to be! I need flags, and lots of hotdogs, and beer klegs (whatever they are) and I want as many people around me as possible.

It was a select few crowd, but the sun was a'blazin, and it actually has made some people see me in a different light - (rich) - because now that I'm a debutante divorcee, I'm actually a lot better off than I was before!

And the boys all want me now - whatever for, I don't know - because although in regards to hotness, when I develop, I think i'll be up there if i get the right things done, but i thnk i might eventually just be hapy with me being beautiful within, in simple clothing that doens't have to be stylish, and just chic and uncluttered. My latest garb is my tiny cardigan, a nice blouse (which has to be tailored, because my boobs are out there, but my chest is naturally bigger than most normal GG's, but my waist is so ridiculously thin - I mean 23" thin- so I have potential.

And today is a good day in general. Go life!

Glad it went well. I would love to go to a 4th of July party in England sometime.
